LED industry is to reshuffle

In the long run, over capacity made LED spotlights and other LED products price decline sharply and newly invested production line has a higher depreciation the financial condition of the whole industry deteriorate seriously. Taking the four Taiwan mainstream enterprise as an example, epitaxy and chip manufacturers in the up stream all have lost and the net profit of packaging enterprise has reach the came level in 2008. The industry downturn has put much pressure on enterprises; its size and technology affect profit much. In terms of cost, size effect plays a crucial role on cost management. In terms of research and development, LED industry is seeing a rapid products replacement. The newly released products will replace the original one rapidly, only those companies with stronger research and development ability can be survived. The mainland of China has about 100 manufactures in up stream and over 1 000 manufacturers located in packaging. Most of the capacity is provided by SME. Industry reshuffle is beginning.
